This project focuses on creating an integrated, environmentally sound, safe, and economically sustainable smart agricultural production system through the practice of organic farming by women living in rural communities.
The introduction of smart agriculture to Dandelion Africa women’s Group has seen a remarkable turnaround on the economic livelihood, good nutrition, and improved crop resistance to diseases and effects of climate change on the farms of women going through the training.
We have seen a change in women’s perception in the adoption of smart farming techniques thereby increasing food production in the households; reduce food insecurity and its effects. We have had support from Ministry of Agriculture, Egerton University, and the community at large.
